A kiddush in our hearts—l’chaim! 🍷🍷🍷
It’s an exciting Shabbos for the Write Your Way Home community!
This Shabbos is Parshas Bereishis, and many members of our community have started Write Your Way Through the Parashah this week, beginning a new journey of Torah, writing, and self-discovery.
Mazel tov on your beautiful beginning! May each parshah bring fresh insight and a deeper connection to Hashem and your own story.
Next week, some of you will begin our new Write Your Way Together membership year.
Mazel tov to you, too! I’m looking forward to the discoveries, connection, and growth we’ll share.
And every one of us has something to celebrate.
We’ve come through a whole season of Yamim Noraim with effort, tefillah, reflection, and growth. Some moments felt uplifting; others we need to just keep going. We may not yet see what all those moments have planted within us.
But this Shabbos, we can pause and honor the journey.
Let’s make a little kiddush in our hearts. We are the Chosson Breishis!
Rav Shimele Amshinover said that the Torah starts with the word Breishis, because a yid is always beginning anew. Every day anew, every hour a new. We start over and over again. We don't get stuck in the past, every minute we choose a new beginning.
And so many of us have done that over the last month and a half. It's inspiring, it's overwhelming, and it's full of new choices, starting over each minute. And we did it!
L’chaim, to the effort we made. L’chaim, to the growth still taking root. L’chaim, to fresh pages, new beginnings, and the stories this year will hold.
May we carry the connection of these weeks into the ordinary days ahead.
Wishing you a beautiful, meaningful Shabbos Bereishis!
With warmth, Yocheved
