Recalculating…🚶‍♀️

As Elul approaches, in what is often both the busiest and the slowest time of the year, I keep thinking about something we all do without even realizing it.

We get into the car, and before we even pull out of the driveway, we open Waze.

Why?

Not because we don’t know how to drive.

But because we want to know how to get to our destination.

Elul, the end of one year and the beginning of another, is coming.

Between the school supplies, Yom Tov menus, new clothing, and to-do lists, it's easy for Elul to become another month of preparation.

But Elul isn't only about preparing for Yom Tov.

If we take a few minutes to tune in, it's about preparing for the year ahead.

Where am I headed?

What do I want this Elul to look like?

Who do I want to be when I arrive at my destination?

Not where I was last year.

Now where I wish I would be.

But from where I am today…where do I want to go?

This year’s Elul theme is Know Your Destination: The Waze and the Ways - becoming intentional about the road you're traveling before the new year begins.

Whether you have time for a committed class, ten minutes a day, or just a few moments of quiet here and there, here are three ways to uplift your Elul.
