It's Rosh Chodesh Shevat 🌳 🌳 🌳

It's Rosh Chodesh Shevat.

When we think of Shevat of sap under the earth and of leaves beginning to sprout above. We think of trees and growth. We can think of ourselves.

Growth is natural to Klal Yisrael. Growth is even more natural to women. Women are inherently developing, transforming, and growing and blossoming.

There has been a shift in our society toward us women healing with the drive, determination and ambition that is naturally inherent to men. Men were created to go out, accomplish, achieve, push forward. Women were created with the power to inherently be. To connect. To be a nurturing earth to our children, spouses and anyone in our lives. To our own precious hearts.

Why are we using the masculine energy to be and connect? Another course, another summit, another modality, another person promising to heal all our problems and save us from ourselves. We even need to take courses how to be our feminine self.

To women, growth is natural. Our souls are the soil primed for growth. Yes, we need some seeds to inspire us, to lead us along the way, but we don’t have to work so hard. Let the nutrients of the earth do its job, let the sun shine, the flowers of our heart will blossom.

Imagine if the farmer will be stressed about his produce’s growth. Every day he would go out, forcefully tilling the earth, toiling with energy and determination (and desperation!), and turn the earth over once again. And then the next day, when the plants didn’t grow yet, try a new method of planting and watering….

We all know the end of this mashal, but we do it to ourselves again and again. Let’s use our gentle earth power to sit, to be, to allow the growth to happen naturally, to sprout from our greatness. We have growth inherent within us. We just need to let our earth sit quietly and calmly for long enough time and allow the process to happen.

Each one of us can do it and even more powerfully, we can do it together.

Let's Write!1. Choose one area of your life that you wish you could grow in. Write a few sentences about why this topic is a struggle for you and how you wish the growth would look.

2. Your heart is the earth. Which nutrients does your heart have that can help that growth happen.

3. What is your sunlight and rain?

4. Choose three small, gentle seeds that can help your internal garden blossom.

5. Read over your writing and draw a simple sketch depicting your process and growth.

Happy Planting! Yocheved
